Low Expansion Construction Adhesive: Foam Adhesive for Insulation Boards

Bonding insulation boards with mortar or mechanical fixings is slow and creates cold bridges. Low expansion construction adhesive (Spraybond X100 Foambond) is a ready-to-use, one-component insulation board adhesive based on polyurethane foam. It combines strong adhesion with limited gap-filling capacity: enough to compensate for small irregularities between board and substrate, without the expansion of a filling foam. It does not attack EPS or XPS.

• Approx. 55 litres of foam per 750 ml can, consumption 70–100 g/m²
• Tack-free in 4–8 minutes, fully load-bearing after 12 hours
• Compressive strength approx. 125 kPa at 10% deformation
• 90% closed cells, helps reduce cold bridges between boards
• Temperature resistance -35 °C to +95 °C, fire class B2 (DIN 4102)

Low Expansion Foam Adhesive for EPS, XPS, PUR and Mineral Wool

This low expansion foam adhesive bonds EPS, XPS, PUR and other insulation, cork and mineral wool to concrete, aerated concrete, fibre cement, bitumen, stainless steel and PVC. Applied with a PU foam gun, it is precise and economical to dose. Press boards evenly within the open time and support them until initial strength is reached. It is not intended to fill large cavities and not suitable for PE, PTFE, PP or temperatures above 100 °C. Smooth or coated surfaces may need a primer.
