Winter grade expanding Foam

Winter Grade Expanding Foam: Keep Installing When Temperatures Drop

Standard PU foam slows down sharply in the cold, and work on site has to stop. Winter grade expanding Foam is a ready-to-use, one-component winter PU foam with a special formulation that allows application at ambient temperatures down to -18 °C, provided the can itself is kept at the recommended product temperature of +10 °C to +25 °C. It insulates, mounts, seals and fills joints, seams, connections and cavities, and adheres to concrete, brick, wood and metal.

  • Application temperature from -18 °C to +30 °C
  • Tack-free in 5–7 minutes, cuttable after 30–45 minutes
  • Approx. 40 litres of foam per 750 ml can
  • Compressive strength 105 kPa, tensile strength 138 kPa
  • Thermal conductivity of 0.035–0.040 W/(m·K)

Cold Weather Expanding Foam for Frames, Joints and Installations

As a winter gun foam, it is used for window and door frames, window sills, joints and gaps, cracks, cavities, pipes and electrical installations. Make sure substrates are free of ice and frost and do not moisten frozen substrates. At low temperatures, the reaction is slower than under standard conditions, so allow each layer to react before applying the next. The cured foam resists -50 °C to +78 °C and has fire class B3 (DIN 4102).
